Aloha!
 I'm Kevin Roddy, an Associate Professor and Information Literacy Librarian at Kapi'olani Community College in Honolulu, on the Island of O'ahu. This site was originally created to keep folks up-to-date with my linguistic fieldwork on the Island of Yap in Micronesia. Most of you know that I have been learning to play the Tar/Bendir - a large Middle Eastern Frame drum.
Here's a picture of my ensemble-mates with our drums. Most of us play lots of other types of drums.  I've been studying the Doumbek with Tara Severns and Joshua Levin in person, and people like Raquy (below) and Amir Naoum through their videos.
